ABOUT THE VOLUNTEER PROGRAM
To bring the Zouk Island Festival to life, we work with a dedicated volunteer team that supports the festival across different areas. Volunteering at Zouk Island is more than “helping out”, it’s about co-creating the experience, taking responsibility, and moving together as one team.

It takes love for Zouk, care for the Zouk Island community, a sense of ownership, and a strong team spirit to make this festival flow.

Ownership: You act as the owner of the mission that is entrusted to you. You protect it, take initiative, and feel responsible for delivering your part with grace and reliability. This also means clearly expressing what you need in order to feel supported.

Clear Communication: We work as a team. We don’t assume others “should know.” We communicate what’s important, ask questions when something is unclear, and actively seek clarity or support whenever needed. Transparency and alignment are key.

Constructive Feedback: If you notice something that could improve the festival experience, you’re invited to share it with the person or team in charge. We value collective intelligence and see feedback as a gift. Both in giving and receiving.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
This year, volunteers do not apply for a specific role.
Instead, you apply as a general volunteer, and the production team will assign roles based on skills, experience, availability, and overall festival needs.

Volunteer roles may include (but are not limited to):

Workshop & room coordination

Accommodation & logistics support

Transportation coordination

Decoration & ambience assistance

Production & on-site support
Some roles are more operational, others more people-oriented. All are essential.
TIME COMMITMENT & SCHEDULE
We generally expect a total time commitment of approximately 4 hour per day during the 4 days of the festival.
Some roles may start slightly earlier or extend a bit beyond the official festival days.

For certain roles, you may also be asked to hold space during workshops. This is not included in the 4h per day volunteering hours, as holding space allows you to fully participate in the workshop while supporting the container.

2. Volunteer Responsibilities
As a volunteer, you are expected to embrace the values of Zouk Island, including love for Zouk, community spirit, responsibility, and teamwork.
Volunteers are assigned specific missions and roles crucial for the success of the festival.
Volunteers must act with ownership, taking full responsibility for their assigned tasks and proactively seeking support when needed.
Clear and effective communication within the team is paramount.
Volunteers must communicate openly, seek clarity when needed, and ensure that all team members are informed about relevant matters.

Volunteers are encouraged to provide constructive feedback to improve the festival experience. Feedback should be shared with the relevant individuals or groups responsible for the aspect in question.

3. Work Schedules
Different volunteer positions entail varying missions and working hours.

Volunteers are expected to commit to around 4 hour per day during the 4 days of the festival. Shifts may include morning and evening hours, depending on the assigned role.

4. Benefits
As a volunteer, you will receive free entry to the Zouk Island Festival. In addition, you are invited to join the exclusive VIP dinner, the pre-party, and the post-party.
